Ride Vehicles
KumbaK is upgrading rides vehicles for the following reasons:
- To solve design issues such as metal fatigue and excess vehicle weight.
- To provide new passenger restraints and containment to ensure compliance with modern safety Standards.
- To provide a new ride experience for the guests.
- To provide new styling or theming.
- To reduce cost of ownership.
Brake Systems
KumbaK is involved in the upgrading of brake systems for the following reasons:
- To replace pinch brakes with non-contact magnetic (Eddy Current) brakes and provide more reliable, smoother braking.
- To install additional brakes to ensure the braking capacity of the system complies with modern safety Standards.
- To Integrate of new brake systems into the existing track structure.

Ride Control Systems
KumbaK upgrades ride control systems for the following reasons:
- To replace the old relay-based control systems with state-of-the-art safety PLC based control systems to ensure compliance with modern safety Standards.
- To provide HMI (Human/Machine Interface) systems to provide a clear overview of the system and to allowing easy troubleshooting.
Track and Support Structures
KumbaK upgrades of track and support structures for the following reasons:
- To replace track and/or supports to solve metal fatigue.
- To re-design and replace track layout providing a smoother ride experience for passengers.
- To provide like-for-like replacement of track and/or supports that have reached the end of their design life.


Drive Systems
KumbaK upgrades drive systems for the following reasons:
- To replace lift drive systems with new motor/gearbox/sprockets/chain.
- To replace an existing launch system (or lift hill) with a state-of-the-art Linear Synchronous Motor (LSM) electromagnetic launch system.
- To provide booster drive system(s) giving smoother, controlled motion of the ride vehicles in the station area.
